Andover, Kansas, is situated in Butler County. As of the 2017 census, the population of Andover was at 13,111. Before the area became Andover, it was originally known as Cloud City back in 1880. In 1957, the city was renamed Andover. However, the Andover that we know today is quite different from the Andover that was. On April 26, in 1991, a terrible F5 tornado swept across entire neighborhoods, rendering thousands of people without homes. The rebuilding effort reshaped Andover, from the ground up for a lot of places.
